Tuition fees

How much does it cost to study in Georgia?

Georgian higher education is one of the most affordable English-taught options in Europe. State universities — Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University, Ilia State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli — set tuition by program rather than by nationality, so African students pay the same as European or Asian applicants.

Most bachelor's programs in business, engineering, IT, international relations and the humanities fall between USD 2,500 and USD 4,500 per academic year. Master's programs typically run USD 2,000 – 3,500. Tuition is paid in two semester installments and can usually be wired from a Central African, West African or East African bank in USD or EUR.

Medicine

Study medicine in Georgia — MBBS and MD costs.

English-taught medical programs are Georgia's most popular path for African students. The 6-year MD (sometimes branded MBBS) is offered by Tbilisi State Medical University, the Georgian American University, David Tvildiani Medical University, Caucasus International University and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, among others. All are listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and recognised by WHO / WFME, which matters for practising medicine back home or sitting USMLE, PLAB or MCI / NMC exams.

Annual tuition for the MD program is USD 4,500 – 8,000 depending on the university and the cohort. Plan for the full 6 years up front: total program cost typically lands between USD 30,000 and USD 48,000, plus living costs.
