How to choose

State or private? Tbilisi or Batumi?

State universities

TSU, GTU, TSMU and Batumi State are older, cheaper and more recognised by African ministries of higher education for equivalence (ANEQ-CI, CAMES, WAEC-aligned councils). Class sizes are larger and admin slower.

Private universities

GAU, DTMU, CIU, Caucasus and European University offer smaller cohorts, more English-language support and faster admin. Useful for MBBS students preparing USMLE, PLAB or NMC exams.

Send us your program of interest, budget and country of origin. A French- or English-speaking adviser will return with two or three matched universities, current intake dates and the full admission dossier.

A note on rankings

Georgian universities rarely appear in global QS or THE league tables, but accreditation and recognition by African medical councils (NMC, MDCN, CNOM) and engineering bodies (FEANI, CAMES) is what governs your right to practise at home. The list above is filtered on that criterion first, prestige second.
